Jige Akemiin founded Hono Daiko -an all-female drumming group- in 1988.  Jige is known for her powerful drumming on the o daiko in an elegantly designed dress.  Her style is reflected in the name of her group: hono means 'fiery'.  Hono Daiko has performed at Carnergie Hall, London, Sydney and Paris and will now perform for the first time in Belgium!
